Join us for our weekly Monday meet-ups where we imagine, design, and create projects using 3D modeling, Coding, Vex Robotics, and 3D printing! Our weekly classes start at 5:30 pm and end at 7:00 pm. Our classes have the freedom to be structured or not! Come with your own project in mind or take part in one of our own projects and experiments!
The world is facing an enormous need for new innovators, thinkers, and leaders in problem-solving. Game development creates engaging, affordable, and powerful solutions that engage students in STEAM and gets them excited to learn more. By using MIT's Scratch, Unity for the Oculus Quest, and Mcreator for Minecraft, we are developing life skills that broaden a student's approach to learning. By joining our program, you will have access to virtual reality and more!
3D Modeling is an excellent way to bridge the gap between theoretical math taught in school and the application of those theories. A physical representation of adding, subtracting, scaling by multiplying with decimals, using and understanding the Cartesian plane, angles for rotating, converting units, is the perfect way to grasp the concept of these ideas. Through creativity, your child will learn and reinforce basic mathematical, critical thinking, problem solving skills, and more!
Coding is the best way to instill certain skills in your life while having fun and creating! Through practicing how to code children will learn critical thinking, persistence, problem solving skills, the courage to try new things, math skills, processing skills, determination, creativity, how to overcome gender barriers, and confidence! Through computational thinking, logic is reinforced through a meaningful and repeatable way.
The benefits of having a 3D printer are endless and as the technology improves, owning a 3D printer is becoming more possible and more affordable. Inserting a 3D printer into the proper educational environment can become a powerful tool for all! Through 3D modeling, using easy to learn programs, kids can print and hold their creations in their own hands. Another benefit of 3D printing is showing a physical representation of a problem and exploring all aspects of the problem in a real world experience.
