Join Our 2019 STEAM Tech Camp
A Summer of Fun!
Join us this summer for an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in the STEAM world! Each of the 10 weeks of summer has a theme and project based on the theme of that week. Choose any week for a chance to construct a robot, design a game, or even print something out of your wildest dreams!

At Homework Plus's 2019 STEAM Tech Camp, your child will learn while having fun! Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math are designed into every project. At Homework Plus, we believe in curiosity being the engine of achievement. STEAM is the perfect way to guide curiosity into real-life problem-solving skills. Through designing a project and taking it from the idea stage to a working model, you will learn through failure, achievement, critical thinking, and even more. Learning is a natural process and STEAM is a great way to facilitate that process! So what are you waiting for? Join the week of your choice!

Coding Week
June 10 - 14
Join us for Coding Week as we dive into the world of programming! Learn the basics as we explore MIT's Scratch and Code.org or expand your horizon by building an app using MIT's App Inventor. This week's main project will explore a combination of coding and 3D modeling using Tinkercad's Codeblocks.

3D Printing Week
June 17 - 21
During 3D Printing Week, you will get a chance to learn how to 3D model using Blender or Tinkercad with fun to follow tutorials or expand your knowledge by taking on one of our advanced projects meant to test your problem solving and design skills! At the end of the week, each person will be taking home of their own designs that will be 3D printed!

Robotics Week
June 24 - 28
Join us at Homework Plus for Robotics week to learn how to build a robot! Get a chance to use the skills learned in weeks one and two to design and build your own robot. During Robotics Week, you will get a chance to design your own custom Vibrating Bug Robot using 3D designed and printed parts or a chance to try making a Claw by designing your own model and programming it using an Arduino!

Science Week
July 1 - 5
During our Science Week, we will learn how scientists perform and design experiments using the scientific method! Design your own experiment based on a series of problems and find a solution to the problem! Students will have a chance to use 3D modeling, 3D printing, and any other STEAM related sources of their choice as they go through their science experiments!

Game Dev Week
July 8 - 12
Learn how games are made through code and art and get a chance to design your own game using a program of your choice like MIT's Scratch or Game Star Mechanic. Advanced students will get a chance to try out Unreal Engine to design a level or create an animation using Blender.

Hydro Week
July 15 - 19
Joining Hydro Week will give you an insight into the power of water and how we rely on it for our health and for many other resources. Get a chance to learn about the amazing properties of water by a series of activities aimed at sparking your curiosity!

Technology Week
July 22 - 26
Technology Week is perfect for kids interested in electronics. This week will focus on how the technology we use everyday works and shapes our lives. From simple electronics like LEDs to transistors, you will get a chance to learn how to use technology to your advantage through a series of activities and projects.

Design Week
July 29 - August 2
Design Week is perfect for anyone interested in digital art. Learn what it takes to be a graphic designer by creating art focusing on composition and style. From animated cartoons to printed art, Design Week is perfect for the creative mind!

Energy Week
August 5 - 9
Join us for Energy Week to learn how energy is stored and transferred all around us. Projects this week will involve 3D designed and printed parts that will be used to learn how energy is transferred between mediums.

Chemistry Week
August 12 - 16
Join us for Chemistry Week to get a glimpse into how the building blocks of our lives shape the things around us. Through designed and supervised experiments the importance and use of chemistry will be understood! Join us for a fun final week of experiments!
